Who's a coke head? Who's in porn? Who's on the border of child abuse? Who's doing anything worthwhile? The answer to the last question is easy - none of them. The paparazzi's have continued to fame these roadmarks for what? The amazing fascination we have with the talentless. Michael Vick is front page news for his involvement in the dogfighting ring (which is no doubt a horrific act and deserves a harsh punishment) but at least he was a phenomenal talent. His football career is a closing act now and you'll watch him disappear in a few years, so his punishment will be justified and his popularity won't grow.
What has Britney done? She rose to fame from the Mickey Mouse club (I wonder if she was lip singing then also) into a mega star for what? Lip singing! Now she's a white trash mom, who has been in and out of rehab, trying to resurrect a career that was never legitimate in the first place. What's her punishment? Front page news that is making her more popular by the day.
What about Lindsey? Also rose to fame from Disney and followed suit into rehab once she got in the spotlight. She has 2 DUI's and 2 Cocaine possession charges (which have since been dropped for some ridiculous reason), she could have killed someone in the process but continues to get front page news, and it’s an easy sell for free publicity. Now she's on the verge of releasing a new album and then turning her addictions into the new thing to do.
Paris? Not even worth mentioning
All in all we are the culprits behind the continued fame of people that contribute nothing to society, I understand the obsession with Brangelina, they at least have great movies and use there fame to shed light on issues relevant to the world. Keep them on the front page and the 3 princesses off, put bands like Eggshell Egoz, King's of Leon, and Rascal Flatts on the front, actors like Ryan Gosling or Rachel McAdams in the limelight. We can't help loving the tabloids, there's nothing else to do in the grocery line, so I guess this is a plea to the media- put talent back in our dysfunctional celebrities.
