Poetry is back and its funk'd up

What happened to the poetic marvels from the history books? The interpreters of all languages? The rebels who embellished in their originality and befriended the harshest criticisms? They took to the underground and formed there own shelter of words, using only the most appropriate name Eggshell Egoz. With blends of funk, rock, blues, and pop these waifs of their generation have one thing in common; the road less traveled. Through literary style song writing they relish in past historians, and let colors dictate their emotions. They bring you on journey's and feed you rhymes of simplicity. So what makes these poets different from the past? Nothing. Listen to the language which heal your scars and take the stress of the day away.
To take the stress of the day away
a poet's passion on a rainy day.
He writes his thoughts with verve
a day meant for revolution
to fill this world with life
relish in the poet's passion.
Take from his own sleeve
a piece of his being and cloth,
break into his world
catastrophe in a box.
Solace in his mad hat,
swirls with ways to cope,
ways to fill a void inside,
demons have evoked.
Dreams are splintered
no longer a comfort,
no false faces,
naked and raw.
Only words can save his sanity
his salvation to survive
venting secrets of self destruction
bottled up inside.
eyes have now lost the energy
soul from which they came.
An orgasm of words.
A coma of stillness.
A limp vocabulary to explain his journey.
A poet's passion on a rainy day
is the root within the soul
the pathway of enlightenment
with no easy road to go.
